SRI LANKA CEYLON TEA
The cultivation of tea has a centuries-old tradition on the island state of Sri Lanka, which was called "Ceylon" until 1972 as a British colony. The Scottish pioneer James Taylor planted the first tea plants in 1867, laying the foundation for what is now the fourth largest tea exporter in the world. Our loose SRI LANKA CEYLON comes from the UVA growing area, one of the few organically certified tea gardens on the island.

The tea has a beautifully twisted and hard-rolled tea leaf with the typical slightly reddish color. The infusion is characterized by an amber-colored cup with a medium-strong aroma and a slightly bitter character.
