WHITE TEA FROM HELLERSTEA

Loose white tea is one of the most valuable types of tea and will pamper you with its mild, gentle taste. The white, silver-shimmering tea leaves of white tea can only be picked on a few days in spring. Since only the topmost undamaged leaf buds are important, white tea is still traditionally picked by hand and then dried. This complex production process makes white tea the most natural variety with a high level of exclusivity.

THE HISTORY OF WHITE TEA

In Chinese history, white tea was once the emperor's exclusive tea and was not allowed to be drunk by anyone else. To this day, it is considered the champagne of teas. Traditional Chinese medicine also names tea as one of its oldest remedies. The cooling effect of hot tea can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, detoxify and counteract inflammation. The high caffeine content of white tea is also worth mentioning. In high-quality varieties, this can be twice as high as in coffee. But unlike coffee, the caffeine in tea is bound to tannins and therefore has a gentler and longer-lasting effect.

OUR TIPS FOR PREPARING WHITE TE

We recommend an infusion temperature of 70 degrees for preparing our loose white tea from HELLERSTEA°. You can brew our high-quality tea several times with a short brewing time, based on traditional Chinese tea preparation. This way you get the most out of the valuable tea leaves. Our tip: try a cold infusion with loose white tea. Put the tea leaves in a bottle, fill it with cold water and let it rest in the fridge for around 12 hours. This brings out the fine, nutty and floral nuances of the tea wonderfully. Enjoying cold-brewed white tea is not just suitable in summer - this iced tea variant is also very suitable as a refreshment on the go or during work all year round.
